Debricare( Papain and Urea ) enzymatic ointment contains Papain IP greater than or equal to 521700 units of activity and Urea Ip 100 mg  in a hydrophilic ointment base.

Indications :

Debricare (Papain and Urea ) is indicated for Debridement of necrotic and liquefaction of  slough in acute and chronic  lesions such as pressure ulcers , varicose and diabetic ulcers ,burns ,post -poperative wounds , pilonidal cryst wounds ,carbuncles and miscellaneous traumatic or infected wounds .

Dosage and Administration :

Cleanse the wound with wound cleanser or saline . Avoid cleansing with hydrogen peroxide solution as it may inactive the Papain . Apply Debricare (Papain and Urea ) directly to the wound , cover with  appropriate dressing , secure into place .Once ,daily or twice , daily applications are preferred ,  irrigate the wound of each dressing to remove any accumulation of liquified necrotic material.

Note : Papain may  also be inactivated by the salts of heavy metals  such as lead , silver and mercury . Contact with medications containing these metals  should be avoided.

Precautions  : Not to be used in Eyes

Contraindications  : Do not use if you are allergic or have known or suspected hypersensitivity to any in ingredients in this product
