COLLOFIL is a pure type 1 collagen particles. Since, collagen particles has more surface area , it is more bio-active  and enhances wound healing . Collagen  particles can be used in the deep wound ,stab wounds and similar type of deeper wounds . The collagen particles help in the formation of more fibroblasts at the wound sites due to their large surface area .

Collagen particles can be applied in deeper wounds where collagen sheets can not be applied .

COLLOFIL  acts as better hemostatic agent and patient feels more comfortable due to its bio -compatibility 

Indications:

• Non Healing Ulcers
• Diabetic Ulcers
• Pressure Ulcers
• Traumatic Ulcers 
• Surgical Wounds
• Non Infected wounds
• Undermined wound
• Tunneled wounds 

Application Method  :

• Cleanse the wound bed with normal saline to the extent with out causing trauma and accordingly adjust the irrigation pressure to drive out the slough and apply topical medication necessary 
• Sprinkle COLLOFIL particles to cover the wound surface
• In the case of tunneled and undermined wounds , COLLOFIL can be made into a paste or a solution  with normal saline to ensure that COLLOFIL particles are penetrated into the wound activities.
• Cover the wound with a non -adherent dressing of suitable choice.
• The frequency of application of COLLOFIL particles can be initially on daily  basis and subsequently increased to once in 2-3 days depending upon the condition of the wound as suggested by the treating surgeon until the wound bed is prepared for closure with graft/flap cover.

• Collofibre-MM particles is a single use product which should not be resterilized.

Storage : COLLOFIL particles can be stored at normal room temperature.
